I empower people to understand and manage their ability to transform through mindfulness based psychotherapy, so that they live a balanced and meaningful life.

I am a teacher by calling and I became a clinical psychologist out of love for life. My academic training is in the field of behavioral-cognitive therapy and I specialize in Mindfulness and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I am currently enrolled in Bangor University’s Master’s program for Mindfulness-Based Interventions, in the UK. This has deepened my passion for knowledge-sharing and the practice of mindfulness as a tool to promote wellbeing in individuals, including myself.

MY APPROACH

MINDFULNESS BASED

My practice is deeply rooted in the principles of Mindfulness. I take a person-oriented approach where individuality is embraced and appreciated in its unique complexity. I will respond to your needs and cherish your autonomy and your right to choose, above all else.

SUBJECTIVE

I strongly believe that knowledge and understanding of our own selves and the world stem from our experiences. This is why understanding your subjective experience will be the core of our sessions. The ultimate goal is to make the most of the natural human tendency towards transformation, growth and the development of potential to create a meaningful life.

MUTUAL AND EXPLORATORY

I strive to build unbiased relationships based in openness, which allow mutual exploration of the content expressed by the client. This process leads to growth and transformation, which in turn result in deeper self-understanding, behavior change and new ways to cope with difficult situations. 

THE THERAPEUTIC RELATIONSHIP

A quality therapeutic relationship is essential to effective results. This is why you need to work with the therapist that is right for you. On our first session we will assess our compatibility to work together effectively. If we discover that a different therapy or framework is more suited to your needs, I will make the appropriate recommendation.
